Our 2026 Team Retreat in Portugal
This October, 24 members of the StoriiCare team gathered in Portugal for our annual team retreat. Our team has grown a lot this year, and it was our biggest retreat yet, up from 17 in Barcelona last year! We spent the week at Quinta do Carrascal, a beautiful rural resort outside Lisbon.
Getting to Know Each Other
We kicked things off with pizza, a happy hour and speed dating, so everyone had the chance to get to know each other, including lots of new faces. A welcome dinner at the villa set the tone for the week ahead.
Workshops, Strategy and a Hackathon
Our working days included an annual report from Cameron, an Enneagram workshop to understand how we each communicate and work best, strategy sessions and a hackathon. We reflected on the year and came up with new ways to support the adult day, home health and residential care providers we work with. Each team member got updated headshots and some Storii swag to take home!
Exploring Lisbon
Of course, it wasn't all work! We headed into Lisbon for a food tour through the historic Alfama neighborhood, followed by an evening boat cruise on the Tagus River.
We also had a free day where everyone could plan their own adventure. This resulted in go-karting, swimming, exploring the coastline, shopping, and watching the sunrise!
Celebrating Our Team
The week wrapped up with a farewell dinner back at the villa, celebrating our growth and everything we’ve accomplished together.
Looking Ahead
Retreats like this remind us how lucky we are to work with such a great group of people. The time spent off zoom and in-person is incredibly valuable. We came home energized, full of ideas and ready to put our plans into action.
